From Sketch to Stitch

Ever wondered how a simple idea turns into a finished product? For me, it almost always starts in the kitchen (no surprise there!). This time, it was a bright, zesty lemon that got my creativity going.

I began by photographing and sketching lots of lemons, capturing all the little details that make them so satisfying to draw. Then comes my favourite part – playing with the layout until it feels just right. It always takes longer than planned, but I love the process.

Some illustrations are turned into placement prints for products like napkins or tea towels. For others it involves bringing the illustrations together to make a striking print that will work beautifully in peoples homes. It all depends on the illustrations and how I see them working on different products.

I especially love curating little collections. Many of my prints feature groups of food and drink illustrations, brought together in a playful but neatly arranged way. There’s something really satisfying about creating that balance.

I'm excited to say my latest launch is the Lemon Apron! This fresh, citrus-inspired design adds a splash of colour to any kitchen – and hopefully makes cooking feel a bit more joyful too.

Once a design is finished, everything is produced in small batches here in Britain. My prints are limited edition, printed on FSC-certified archival paper to make sure they stay looking lovely for years to come.

Thanks so much for supporting my small business and helping me turn lemons into something cheerful and long-lasting!
