Why I make everything in Britain — and why it matters to you too
Everything I make is made in Britain. And that's not changing.
It costs more, it takes longer, and honestly I can see why so many brands choose to manufacture abroad. But being a British made brand matters to me.
But here's the thing. It's not just about me and my values. It actually matters to you too and here's why.
Your money stays local
Every time you buy one of my tea towels or aprons, you're supporting a real factory, one that could literally be up the road from you. That money goes back into the local economy. And those skilled textile workers who have perfected their craft can keep doing what they're good at. Those skills are quietly disappearing from Britain and every British made purchase helps keep them alive.
You know exactly what you're getting
No mystery supply chains, no wondering where something was actually made. When you buy from me you know it is British made. I know my manufactures and have built great working relationships with them over the years. That's something mass production simply can't offer.
You buy less over time
Small batch production means I only make what's needed — no overproduction, nothing ending up in landfill. And because the quality is good, you're not replacing it every few months. Buying cheap can be a false economy. Something made well, made to last, is better for your pocket and better for the planet.
It's a choice worth making
I'm not going to tell you what to do with your money — that's not my place! But if you're buying a gift or treating yourself to something for your home, it's just worth a thought.
This summer I'd love you to pledge to buy one British made thing. It doesn't have to be from me — just make your money count. 🇬🇧
If you want to start here, my tea towels and aprons are some of my most loved pieces — all designed and made right here in Britain.
